Inaugural MSMEs Day 2017

The event is co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations, the UN Office for Partnerships and the International Council for Small Business (ICSB). The Press Conference on new initiatives to empower micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as engines of job creation, innovation, and sustainable growth.

A Day for Learning

For one day in May 2017, the International Conference for Small Business will bring together thousands of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises from all over the world for a day of learning.


The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing the crucial role Micro- Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) play in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Resolution (A/71/L.60) designates June 27 as “Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day.” With support from the ICSB, The Mission of Argentina to the UN-authored the resolution that was presented to and negotiated with all UN member states.
